MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A 32-year-old man has been charged with criminal sexual conduct, first degree and kidnapping after an incident at the Palace Resort.

Myrtle Beach police charged Anthony Denareo Young on Sunday after a woman reported he attacked her in the bathroom at about 1 a.m.  Criminal sexual conduct in the first degree is a felony that is punishable by imprisonment for 10-30 years

The victim said Young needed to tell her something important in the bathroom. Once in the bathroom, Young began to make sexual comments to her and caress her. She told police she refused his advances and told him no, according to the report.

The victim said she attempted to get out of the bathroom on number occasions, but Young blocked the door.

The victim said when she tried again, she slipped onto the floor and Young pinned her between the toilet and the shower while removing her clothing. That’s when he forced himself onto her and had intercourse, she told police in the report.

The victim said Young threated to physically harm her if she made any sounds to alert anyone else.

In addition to criminal sexual conduct and kidnapping charges, Young has been charged with resisting arrest.
