CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – A man has been charged with attempted murder after shots were fired into an occupied home in the Conway area.

Mack Allen Davis was arrested on Tuesday by officers with the U.S. Marshals Task Force, Horry County Police Department, and the SC Law Enforcement Division, according to a press release from HCPD.

Police say shots were fired into an occupied home on August Lane in the Conway area on April 17.

The release said that an investigation revealed that Davis “argued with the victim via text messages, threatened to come to his house, and then did just that.” Upon arriving, Davis allegedly “shots into the home when the victim looked out of a window.”

Davis is charged with “attempted murder, discharging a firearm into a dwelling, possession of a firearm during the commission of a violent crime, and felon in possession of a weapon.”

According to J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking records, Davis was booked around 11:45 a.m. Tuesday and remains in the center as of 12:30 p.m. Wednesday. Bail was set at $51,500.
