HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) – One man faces charges following a fatal crash on Sea Mountain Highway in Horry County Thursday afternoon.
South Carolina Highway Patrol responded to the scene around 4 p.m. where the driver of a moped was struck by a 2007 GMC pickup truck, confirms Cpl. Sonny Collins with SCHP.
The driver of the moped, William Vansteenburg, 69, of Little River, died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to Horry County Deputy Coroner Michelle McSpadden.
Cpl. Collins says the driver of the truck, Dary’l Brooks, is charged with failure to yield right of way.
