The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man, who deputies claim, assaulted a woman early Friday morning.
Deputies were asked to check on a woman in the 2800-block of Oxendine School Road just after 4:30 a.m. When they arrived, they say they found blood on the porch and doorknob to the residence. Deputies say they found a woman who had been assaulted inside.
The Robeson County Sheriff’s Office charged Bryan Anthony Chavis, 31, of Maxton, with simple assault. Chavis was given a $2,500 secured bond in district court Friday.
