MYRTLE BEACH – (WBTW) – The Myrtle Beach Police Department is investigating a shooting that happened Saturday evening near the Coral Sands Motel.

According to the Myrtle Beach Police Department website, Ronnie Metts, 29, is being charged assault, attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Lt. Joey Crosby says it happened at 301 N. Ocean Boulevard around 8:30 p.m. One person has been taken to the hospital.

According to the police report, Metts and the victim were arguing when Metts pulled out a gun from his right pocket and shot the victim multiple times.
