A man has been arrested nearly two years after an elderly woman was robbed at gunpoint.
On November 21, 2016, Myrtle Beach police officers responded to 301 21st Avenue South for an armed robbery, according to a police report from the Myrtle Beach Police Department. Upon arriving, the 72-year-old victim was outside waiting for officers.
The victim told police she was taking groceries out of her car and bringing them into her home, the report says. When she came outside to grab more items, she says a man came around her house telling her to freeze and pointed a gun at her. She says the man ran into the garage and grabbed her pocket book off the stairs leading to her house and took off south bound on Yaupon Drive.
The report also says about $20,000 in items were stolen including jewelry, credit/debit cards, keys, a garage door opener, cellphones, instruments, a wallet, and egg rolls.
