Officers have made an arrested in a shots fired call on Tuesday. 

According to Cpl. Thomas Vest with the Myrtle Beach Police Department, Rayon Denzil Ried was arrested Friday in connection to the shooting near 3rd Avenue North and Cedar Street. Ried is charged with Assault / Attempted Murder and Discharging a Firearm into a Dwelling. 

He is currently being held without bond. 

On Tuesday officers responded to the area of 3rd Avenue North and Cedar Street for a report of a shot fired into a dwelling. 

Officers located a vehicle believed to be involved a short distance away and attempted to conduct a traffic stop.

After a short pursuit, the driver reportedly fled on foot in the area of Canal Street.

Ried was not the person driving the car in the incident but was the person who fired into the house, according to police.
