A homeless man has been arrested for allegedly sexually molesting a six-year-old child at a hurricane shelter. 60-year old John Stapleton is charged with lewd and lascivious molestation of someone under 12 years old.
A witness told deputies from the Okaloosa County Sheriff’s Office she saw a recording of the child being touched underneath her clothing. Investigators watched the video. Stapleton later admitted to them he touched the victim but said it was not in a lewd manner.
The incident happened at Davidson Middle School in Crestview, Florida. The school was being used to house people during Hurricane Michael.
