A man has been arrested in connection with the June murder of a 62-year-old Dillon County man.
Malique Jamal Gregory, 23, of Dillon, has been arrested and charged with murder for the death of Preston Benjamin, according to Captain Cliff Arnette with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office. Benjamin’s death occurred on June 26 and Gregory is in custody at the Dillon County Detention Center.
Benjamin was found dead at his home on Mockingbird Loop in Dillon on June 26, according to Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley.
