GREEN SEA, SC (WBTW) – Horry County Fire Rescue crews were called to a reported structure fire Tuesday morning.
Firefighters were called around 6:30 a.m. for a mobile home fire at 8327 Ware Drive, just off SC 9 between Green Sea and Nichols.
According to Battalion Chief Jim Walker, a male victim was inside a mobile home at the time of the fire. He suffered serious injuries and was flown to a nearby hospital by helicopter, Walker said.
Five stations responded to the call, including one from Fair Bluff, NC.
The cause of the fire is unknown at this time. The case remains under investigation.
