LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – A suspect wanted for murder in Lumberton has been arrested in Texas.

According to a press release from the Lumberton Police Department, Jasmine Charnelle McLaurin was arrested in by Frisco Police in Collin County Texas.

McLaurin was wanted for first-degree murder in connection to the death of Jamia Lashay Hill on June 10, according to police.

McLaurin is being held at the Collin County Jail in Texas awaiting extradition to Robeson County.
