LUMBERTON, NC (WBTW) – A man accused of multiple robberies was taken into custody by Lumberton police Friday.

According to Captain Terry Parker, 20-year-old Yatsen Boblee Baptiste of Lumberton was arrested in Wake County driving a stolen car.

The press release connects Baptiste to an August 9 incident where he robbed a woman at knife point, a home break in, and an incident Friday where he robbed a man at gunpoint, took the man’s car and released him in Fayetteville.

When officers brought him back to Lumberton, he was charged with two counts of robbery with a dangerous weapon, two counts of 2nd degree kidnapping, breaking and entering and larceny after breaking and entering, felony larceny, 1st. degree burglary, possession of stolen motor vehicle, and an outstanding order for arrest for unrelated charges.

His bond was set at $256,000.00 secured bond and he is being held in the Robeson County Detention Center.

Officers say the investigation continues as investigators are still attempting to recover additional property.
