LORIS, SC (WBTW) – A Loris man has died after being hit by a Chevy truck on Highway 9 Business in Loris Friday morning, according to the coroner’s office.
Horry County Deputy Coroner Tony Hendrick says Mitchell Guy Cox, 41, of Loris died at McLeod Loris ER with multiple blunt force injuries after the incident.
South Carolina Highway Patrol Cpl. Sonny Collins says no charges will be filed against the driver of the Chevy truck because the pedestrian was standing unlawfully in the road when he was hit.
