LORIS (WBTW) – Horry County Police were called to the Conway Medical Center emergency room for a person being treated for a gunshot early Wednesday morning.
The victim told officers it happened in the area of U.S. Highway 701 near Walkers Road as he was changing a tire beside the road. He said a white truck pulled up behind him with two men inside, and that one of them shot him. He said they then beat him and stole his wallet.
A doctor told officers the wound was not life-threatening.
