MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Myrtle Beach City Council recognized Alex Burroughs with a proclamation for winning the 2016 South Carolina Youth of the Year scholarship competition.
Burroughs, a senior at Myrtle Beach high school, competed against other teen finalists across the state.
He received a $5,000 scholarship prize and thanked the Boys and Girls Club for helping him win
