(WBTW) – As Hurricane Dorian continues to make its way towards South Carolina, local emergency workers are preparing for the approaching storm.
In Dillon County, firefighters with Fire Station 3 assisted with filling aqua dams to protect the Electrical Substation in Nichols that supplies power to Lake View.
In Loris, the Loris Police Department is getting vehicles ready including their High Water vehicles to assist those in need should they be required.
Loris Fire Department volunteers had a joint training session with the Loris Police Department Tuesday on the use of those vehicles.
