MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Forty local children got an early Christmas Monday.
The children, all between the age of 4 and 11, received a total of 320 presents.
Brittain Resorts and Hotels put on the early Christmas at the grande ballroom at the Ocean Reef Resort. The event included stilt walkers from Margaritaville and the kids got to meet Mr. and Mrs. Claus.
“For me the spirit of Christmas is when fifteen business owners that rarely work with each other hold hands and sponsor forty kids they’ve never met before and maybe will never meet again. That to me is what Christmas is all about,” Wayne Rickman of the Vistage Fundraising Team said.
To cap off the event, every child got a big surprise when they each took home a brand new bike.
