FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – 80 kids in Florence went on a shopping spree Saturday morning, thanks to the Baxley Tire Service in Scranton.
The Owners started the program with just 5 kids but sponsors from around the Pee Dee sent kids Christmas shopping with $100 each.
Mary- Beth Corriher and her daughter were anonymously nominated after they lost everything to Hurricane Matthew flooding.
Corriher said, “Knowing that there are people out there that still have good hearts and are willing to do this for people like us. I can’t thank god enough for it.”
High School students volunteered to help children shop and tallied up their items before checking out.
Baxley owners this was their first year but they hope to continue the tradition of giving back next year.
