BRYSON CITY, NC – “F*!# the police, Let’s kill a cop.”

That’s what Bryson City Police Chief, James Jones said three men yelled as they ran toward the police department from a bar/ restaurant across the street.

He says two officers were at the station and heard them.

They immediately ordered the three to lay on the ground and when they resisted they had to forcefully and at gunpoint put them on the ground and arrest them.

The three suspects were an uncle and two nephews from Kentucky.

John Ward, 49 Samuel Ward, 23, and Houston Ward, 22 were all charged with public disturbance, resisting public officer and intoxicated and disruptive.

They were held on a $500 bond and released later.
