DILLON, S.C. (WBTW)- A man is dead after a moped crash in Dillon County Tuesday afternoon.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 3:20 at the intersection of Highway 301 and Black Branch Road.

Troopers say the moped driver was driving west on Black Branch Road when he pulled out in front of the Toyota driving south on Highway 301, and was hit.

The moped driver died in the crash.

Coroner Donnie Grimsley identified the victim as 52-year-old James Albert Dillard of Latta.

Troopers say there won’t be any charges filed against the Toyota driver.
