FLORENCE – Rianna Green scored 17 points as the Latta girls beat Carvers Bay 63-54 to advance to the Class A state championship game for the second straight year.
Latta won the title last year. They’ll try to defend it Saturday against Christ Church. The title game is at 11 a.m. at Colonial Life Arena in Columbia.
The Vikings pulled away late to beat the Bears in the lower state title game Saturday in the third meeting of the season between the two teams. They split during the regular season.
The Dillon girls, Hannah-Pamplico boys and Darlington boys all fell in their lower state title games Saturday.
