DILLON, SC (WBTW) – The City of Dillon has a new police chief. According Dillon City Manager Glen Wagner, Captain David Lane was promoted to the position Monday morning.
Lane replaces former Chief Joe Rogers who retired in June.
Lane has been with the department since 1998 when he began as a cadet. A selection committee provided recommendations for the replacement.
They recommended 3 finalist. Captain David Lane of the City of Dillon Police Department, Lt. Kimberly Nelson with the City of Darlington Police Department and Lt. Jamie Seals of the Marlboro County Sheriffs Department.
