LAMAR, S.C. (WBTW) – Jadarius Munford, a center fielder for Lamar, signed a letter of intent on Tuesday to play baseball for Florence Darlington Tech next year.

The senior has been a three-year starter for the Silver Foxes. During that time, he’s batted .383, stolen 37 bases and driven in 43 runs. He also did not commit a single error last season.

Munford says one of the main reasons he chose to sign with the Stingers is because he will get immediate playing time.

“It’s not like every other school,” Munford said. “Going to a Juco is not bad, actually that’s preparing you for a D1 or the MLB but you know, just stick with it. Baseball is a hard game to play. You’re going to have mistakes and you’re going to have injuries but just don’t stop.”
