DILLON, SC (WBTW) – Dillon County officials say one person died and a teenager was injured early Tuesday morning after a shooting in Lake View.
Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley confirms two people were shot on Shady Circle in Lake View just after 1:15 a.m. Tuesday. Grimsley says the adult victim, identified as 40-year-old Gerald “Nat Hole” McNeil died at the scene and a 14-year-old relative of McNeil was taken to a hospital in Florence.
The teen’s injuries are non-life-threatening, says Lake View Police Chief Wayne Campbell.
Officials have not commented on a shooting suspect or motive at this time.
SLED is investigating with Dillon County Sheriff’s Office assisting.
