LAKE CITY, SC (WBTW) – Lake City police chief Joseph Cooper resigned Thursday.
According to city administrator Shawn Bell, Cooper resigned January 7. Bell says they wish him luck in his future endeavors.
Captain John Kelly is the acting police chief through the weekend.
Starting Monday, January 11, the city hopes to name an interim police chief.
