LAKE CITY, SC (WBTW) – A Lake City man is in jail after crashing into a building with his car Sunday night, according to state troopers.
Cpl. Sonny Collins with South Carolina Highway Patrol says troopers arrested Merril Irving McKnight, 38, of Lake City, after he ran into a building off of West Main Street in Lake City Sunday night around 7 p.m.
McKnight is charged with DUI and open container.
No one was in the building at the time of the crash and there were no reported injuries.
McKnight was released Monday morning from the Florence County Detention Center on a $1,255 bond.
