FLORENCE – Bob Kleinknecht is retiring after 38 years as West Florence’s baseball coach.
Kleinknecht announced that Tuesday. He won more than 600 games in his career, including a state title in 1995. All but six of his teams made the playoffs. He estimates more than 100 of his players went on to compete in college. Kleinknecht said it was a tough decision to make, but retiring will give him a chance to spend more time with his family.
