DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC – Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office detectives have been working tirelessly in the investigation into the disappearance of Ashley Pegram. Edward Primo Bonilla has been charged with Obstruction of Justice in regards to her disappearance. He is still housed at the Dorchester County Jail with a $400,000 surety bond.
The investigation revealed Bonilla had met Pegram online and was the last person to see her in the early morning hours of 4 April 2015.
Numerous search warrants and interviews have been completed in the past weeks. One search warrant led to the discovery of blood evidence in the trunk of Bonilla’s vehicle and other locations that were under his control on 4 April 2015. This blood has been forensically examined and is consistent with the DNA profile of the victim, Ashley Pegram. Due to this evidence and other factors, it is probable that Ashley Pegram is deceased.
Investigators have obtained a warrant and will charge Edward Primo Bonilla with the murder of Ashley Pegram. The bond hearing will be on 6 May 2015.
