MYRTLE BEACH (WBTW) – A teenage girl is safe and a kidnapping suspect is in custody after Savannah, GA officers made an arrest Saturday afternoon.

Georgia police arrested Mike Roscoe Small, 27, of North Charleston and charged him with kidnapping across state lines and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

The investigation started in Myrtle Beach on Monday, March 28th when the teen was reported missing by her family.

At about 2 p.m. Saturday, the victim notified family members that she was in Savannah, GA, who then told Myrtle Beach investigators who contacted SCMPD.

Savannah officers converged on the suspect’s vehicle and arrested Small where he will be brought back to Myrtle Beach.  Small also faces outstanding warrants in Georgia and Texas.

The teen, who reportedly had no prior contact with Small before March 28, was safely recovered by Georgia officers.
