HORRY COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) – There are a variety of events to celebrate the 4th of July along the Grand Strand this weekend.
- Salute from the Shore – a military flyover on the 4th of July that will stretch the entire length of South Carolina’s coast starting at Cherry Grove at 1:00 pm. Participants on the shore will be encouraged to salute the flyover by wearing and waving red, white, and blue and to capture themselves “Saluting” the Flyover and our Armed Forces in images and videos.
- 4th Annual Cupcake Eating Contest – 2-5 pm at Croissants Bakery in Myrtle Beach.
- 4th of July Fireworks at Barefoot Landing in North Myrtle Beach at 10:15 pm.
- 4th of July Fireworks at Cherry Grove Pier in North Myrtle Beach at 9 or 9:15 pm.
- 32nd Annual Murrells Inlet July 4th Patriotic Boat Parade at 10 am and Fireworks begin at 10 pm!
- 49th Annual 4th of July Pawleys Island Parade -11 am – 12 pm – Come celebrate island style!
- Myrtle Beach Hot Summer Nights 4th of July Fireworks at 2nd Avenue Pier in downtown Myrtle Beach at 10 pm.
- 4th of July Fireworks at Broadway at the Beach in Myrtle Beach at 10 pm.
- 4th of July Surfside Beach Celebration – 6 pm -10 pm. (Fireworks at 9:30 pm)
- Independence Music Blast at La Belle Amie Vineyards in Little River from 12 pm to 5 pm – Bring your chair for music, BBQ, and wine tastings!
- Freedom Fest at Darlington Raceway from 4 p.m. – 11 p.m.
