Julia joined the WBTW News13 team in January 2016. She is the weekend sports anchor for News13 and Fox and reports during the week.
A native of Brooklyn, NY, Julia spent her whole life living in the Northeast before moving to Myrtle Beach. After graduating from Boston College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication, Julia spent two years working as a production assistant at CBS Sports in New York City. While working at CBS, Julia decided she wanted to pursue a career on-camera instead of behind the scenes. She enrolled at Syracuse University, where she earned her Master’s degree in Broadcast and Digital Journalism with a Sports Communication Emphasis.
Julia has previous experience working as a digital sports reporter at the Mid-Atlantic Sports Network. While at MASN, she covered the Baltimore Orioles and Washington Nationals.
Outside of the news station, Julia enjoys running, watching the New York Yankees and going to the beach. She is thrilled that she doesn’t have to deal with winter blizzards anymore and looks forward to spending lots of time outdoors while living in Myrtle Beach.
Julia is honored to be a member of the WBTW News 13 team and reporting on the stories that matter to you. If you have a story idea you’d like Julia to look into, send her an e-mail at jmorris@wbtw.com or shoot her a message on Twitter @JuliaMorrisWBTW.
