FLORENCE, SC (WBTW) – The Florence County Sheriff’s Office, along with SLED agents, executed a search warrant at a home in Johnsonville that put two people behind bars for child neglect after sex tapes were discovered.
Major Michael Nunn with Florence County Sheriff’s Office says narcotics investigators and SLED executed a search warrant on April 6 in connection with a drug investigation at 513 Lake City Highway in Johnsonville. After entering the home, investigators found video evidence of sexual acts performed in the presence of children as well as sexual content possibly being shown to and sexual comments being made toward the children.
As a result, officials arrested Frank Mitchell Gaster, 70, and Heather Marie Tisdale, 31, both of Johnsonville.
Gaster was charged with four counts of disseminating or exhibiting harmful performance to minors and SLED also charged Gaster with possession of a controlled substance and two counts of distribution of a controlled substance. While Tisdale is charged with four counts of unlawful neglect of a child.
Detectives say Tisdale allegedly participated in the sex act that was caught on camera in the presence of children under her care. On four occasions between January 10 and March 15, Tisdale reportedly allowed minor children to be present when she performed a sex act.
Both Gaster and Tisdale are being held at the Florence County Detention Center on $115,000 and $75,000 surety bonds, respectively. The investigation is ongoing and additional charges are possible, says Major Nunn.
