A Johnsonville man is facing a drug charge following a search of his home by Florence deputies.
According to the Florence County Sheriff’s Office, Brett Raymond Poston is charged with one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine. On Friday deputies executed a search warrant at his home on Mill House Road in Johnsonville, there they found methamphetamine and a firearm.
Poston is being held at the Florence County Detention Center awaiting a bond hearing.
This arrest is part of a larger investigation in the Johnsonville and Lake City area and additional arrests are possible.
“We are committed to aggressive enforcement of the narcotics laws in an effort to rid our neighborhoods and communities of this scourge,” Sheriff Billy Barnes stated. “The Johnsonville area has been particularly hard hit with this problem and we are determined to stop it.”
