CAYCE, S.C. – South Carolina Gov. Nikki Haley says she won’t be endorsing any Republican presidential hopefuls any time soon.
Standing alongside former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, Haley said Tuesday that she’ll be a “sweet host” for all potential White House candidates who visit the state between now and next February – when South Carolina holds the South’s first presidential primary.
Haley said Bush has advised her on education policy. She said generally that she’s a fan of her fellow governors.
Bush made a stop in Myrtle Beach Wednesday morning as supporters gathered at Rios Restaurant to meet him.
Bush told the crowd he is seriously considering a run for president and if so will return with a stronger push for support here.
Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker will be in the state later this week. New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie attended Haley’s second inauguration in January.
She also has welcomed Gov. Bobby Jindal of Louisiana and former Texas Gov. Rick Perry, among others.
Haley endorsed eventual nominee Mitt Romney in the weeks before the 2012 primary.
