ANDREWS, S.C. (WBTW)- The Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman’s body was found in the water near a boat landing in Andrews July 22.
Georgetown County Coroner Paulette Radcliffe identified the woman as Shannon Denise Taylor.
Shortly after 12:30 p.m. Saturday, deputies responded to 4314 Big Dam Swamp Rd, Pea House Landing in reference to a possible body in the water near the boat landing.
Deputies arrived on scene and located Taylor in the water near the boat ramp.
The Williamsburg County Sheriff’s Office is working along with Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office.
The cause of.Taylor’s death has not yet been announced.
Investigators have not located the woman’s vehicle since her body was discovered at the landing. Investigators ask are asking that anyone with any information call Lt. Jean Wrenn at 843-354-6381 ext. 4534.
