FLORENCE COUNTY, S.C. (WBTW) – South Carolina Highway Patrol troopers say there are “multiple fatalities” in a Florence County crash.

It happened around 7:30 Saturday night on I-95 N near Exit 170.

Lance Corporal Sonny Collins says five vehicles were involved in the crash.  He says two of those were commercial vehicles.

Collins says troopers and the MAIT investigate.  

Florence County Coroner Keith Von Lutcken confirms five people died in the crash.  He says the victims will undergo autopsies at MUSC.

He identifies the victims as Barry Himes, 52, and Jacqueline Ann McCann, 51, of Johnstown, PA.  The coroner says they were in the 2011 Jeep Cherokee.

The victim in the 2008 Honda are identified as Jeremiah Joseph Cross, 34, Crystal Cross, 32, and Grayson Cross, 7 months, of Ontario, Canada.

The South Carolina Highway Patrol has not released the details of the crash.  Count on continued updates from News 13.
