CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Crowds gathered for art, music and culture in downtown Conway Saturday for the first Indie Market.
20 local artists were featured along with some musicians who entertained onlookers.
The event was held on Laurel Street where people gathered for glass blowing and other demonstrations.
Visitors were able to meet area artists and view their work.
Some of the market vendors at the event said Conway is a perfect place to showcase their art.
“I like the history of Conway and theres a localized town that’s not spread out like the rest of the strand is,” said artist, Eric Hall.
The group CREATE! Conway hosted the Indie Market, they are a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting regional and local art and artists.
