MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – A car crash on Highway 501 has north and southbound traffic delayed as emergency crews work to clear the scene Wednesday morning.
South Carolina Highway Patrol traffic information website states the crash occurred at 11:21 a.m. in the northbound lanes of Hwy 501 at SC-544. Troopers report the crash does involve injuries but have not stated how many victims are involved or to what extent they are hurt.
South Carolina Department of Transportation traffic cameras show emergency vehicles working to clear the scene and assisting victims. Traffic is being diverted around the crash in the north and southbound lanes of Hwy 501. Drivers are asked to use an alternate route if possible.
