CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – An FBI agent testified in court that eyewitnesses say Britannee Drexel, the 17-year-old who disappeared while visiting Myrtle Beach back in 2009, was taken to a stash house in McClellanville where she was gang-raped, shot after trying to escape, and her body was fed to alligators.
Horry County Solicitor Jimmy Richardson would not say whether the information released to the public would help or hurt the case, but he says the information was held because the FBI is waiting on others to come forward to either confirm or debunk the witnesses’ statements.
The 17-year-old was on a spring break trip in 2009 when she disappeared.

According to court documents, FBI Agent Gerrick Munoz testified in a hearing for Timothy De’shaun Davis in an unrelated robbery case.
The agent names Tequan Brown as an eyewitness who says Taylor and others sexually abused Brittanee Drexel.
“The information that the FBI has, as I said, it was older information,” said Richardson.
Richardson says the FBI has been holding the information that they do have in order to piece the story together.
“It’s corroborating evidence, and just little pieces of evidence that corroborate what they already know from a different source is extremely important,” said Richardson.
Brown says he saw Drexel try to run from the house and was pistol whipped, taken back inside the house. Brown says he later heard two gun shots and assumed Drexel was shot.
Agent Munoz says several witnesses told them Drexel’s body was then fed to alligators.
“Just as human beings, whether you’re federal, state, prosecution, defense attorney, defendant, everybody should want closure,” said Richardson.
While the FBI is working for that closure, without a body and without supporting evidence to back Brown’s story, Richardson says the FBI can’t make an arrest.
“It certainly appears at this point they’re not going to be able to give her (Drexel’s mom) back Brittanee, but just to give her a proper burial, just to be able to know this part is over, she is here.”
Agent Munoz said during the hearing other witnesses will soon come forward that he believes will also have first-hand testimonies to confirm Taylor’s involvement in Drexel’s murder, but as of right now, no one has been charged.
According to online booking records from the Charleston County Detention Center, Taylor has been in and out of jail for the last five years. He was just released last week on bond for robbing a McDonald’s and shooting at an employee.
