Horry County police seek person of interest in 1980 homicide

Horry County police are seeking a person of interest in a 1980 homicide case. 

The Horry County Police Department needs the public’s help to identify and locate a person of interest in connection with the 1980 homicide of Joann Colby, according to Mikayla Moskov, with the HCPD. The person of interest in this case used the following aliases:

The individual was also known to be an associate of Sue Collie, said Moskov.

Colby was reported missing on September 15, 1980 by her son, according to HCPD’s list of cold cases. Colby lived in the Myrtle Beach area and her body was found in a vehicle in Conway. Police say she was stabbed.
