Horry County police respond to shooting in Loris

Horry County police responded to a shooting in Loris on Thursday morning. 

A police report says officers were called to Bethel Chapel Road around 4 a.m. on Thursday in reference to shots being fired into a residence. Victims told police they were sleeping when they were woken up by what sounded like fireworks.

According to the report, one female victim told police when the shots stopped, she heard a vehicle drive off headed south towards Watts Road. This victim said once she, and the three other victims, heard the vehicle drive away, they noticed bullet holes in the bedroom walls and in a bedroom window. She also told police she had no idea who or why anyone would be shooting at their house. 

Officers located 30 bullet holes in the residence that went through the bedroom and kitchen area and four bullet holes in a 1994 Ford Ranger truck that was parked outside of the bedroom window. Shell casings were also found in the road by the driveway of the residence. 

The release also says the victims were a 26-year-old female, a 28-year-old female, a 38-year-old male, and a 4-year-old female.

No information on suspects or arrests is available.
