MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – Early Friday morning officers with Horry County PD responded to the Sun Up Bar on Socastee Boulevard in reference to a shooting.
On arrival, officials met with two victims and saw a single gunshot entry on the front passenger door of the car. The victims told police that they arrived at the Sun Up Bar around 3:30 a.m. to meet a friend when the suspect approached the car and began to bang on the drivers side window with the butt of a handgun. The victims did not exit the car, and when they reversed to leave the parking lot, the suspect fired a single round into the vehicle.
The police report says none of the victims were struck by the round.
The report says the suspect then fled in a burgundy car. Both victims and a witness identified the suspect by name, police say.
