Horry County police have issued a BOLO alert for a car after two men attempted to enter a bank.
A press release from the Horry County Police Department says the alert was issued for a car with a tag described as an older South Carolina tag with “In God We Trust.”
According to the release, two black males attempted to enter the United Community Bank, located at 5264 Highway 9 in Green Sea, armed with long guns on Wednesday around 4 p.m. The men were stopped by the bank’s locked door.
According to a police report, a woman said she was in the office of the bank when she looked outside and saw two people at the door carrying guns. These people were not able to enter the bank because the doors were locked. When the suspects were denied access to the bank, they left headed toward Loris on Hwy 9 in what appeared to be a newer model black Nissan Altima.
