Horry County police arrest NC man for criminal sexual conduct with a minor

CONWAY, SC (WBTW) – Horry County police arrested a man Wednesday after allegations of  criminal sexual conduct in 2014.

Thomas Edward Gales, 30, of Greensboro was charged with two counts of criminal domestic violence and criminal sexual conduct with a minor under 11, first degree.

Reports from Horry County police say the incident was first reported in September of 2014.  A report from July 15, 2016 says the suspect made the victim, who was 9 at the time, touch him and perform oral sex on him at a home in Conway.

After reviewing the documents, police obtained a warrant from a judge and contacted Gales who said he would turn himself in. On Aug. 23, 2016, the suspect did not show up to surrender himself and was entered into NCIC as a wanted fugitive.

Gales is currently being held at J Reuben Long Detention Center and no bail has been set.
