MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WBTW) – An Horry County man has been arrested on child pornography charges.
Anthony Castelli, 70, of Myrtle Beach was arrested on Friday, according to a press release from the South Carolina Attorney General’s Office. Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigators and the Horry County Sheriff’s Office arrested him.
“Investigators state Castelli distributed and possessed files of child pornography,” said the release.
Castelli is charged with two counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the second degree, which is “a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count,” and four counts of sexual exploitation of a minor in the third degree, which is “a felony offense punishable by up to 10 years imprisonment on each count.”
The case will be prosecuted by the Attorney General’s Office.
According to J. Reuben Long Detention Center booking records, Castelli was booked around 9 a.m. on Friday and released around 5:40 p.m. the same day.
