Horry County fair returns to Myrtle Beach Area

The Horry County Fair returns to the Myrtle Beach area starting April 10 and running through April 19, 2015 at the Myrtle Beach Speedway, located at 455 Hospitality Lane in Myrtle Beach.



The newly formed Horry County Fair at Myrtle Beach Speedway will feature demonstrations, displays, vendors, free live music, a petting zoo, 4-H display, children’s educational activities and an amazing midway put on by Strates Shows Inc at the speedway’s 48-acre property.  

Fun for all ages, the highly anticipated event will feature some of Strates Show Inc’s finest amusements including thrill rides, the best in carnival foods, prize winning games, and much more.

In conjunction with the family fair, the speedway will include many of their already established events and attractions while also featuring some new ones.

Throughout the 10-day schedule, there will be Macho Mutt Monster Truck Rides, pace car ride-alongs for all ages as well as the NASCAR Racing Experience, which offers the authentic experience to drive or ride in a real NASCAR race car driven by some of today’s biggest stars.

Special events will be comprised of the Don’s Car Crushing Demolition Derby on Friday April 10, two nights of NASCAR Sanctioned Weekly Racing on Saturday, April 11h and Saturday April 18, the Wheels of Destruction Thrill Show on Thursday, April 16 and the Battle of the Bands contest on Friday, April 17. 

Ticket prices are: $5 for adults; $3 for children ages 5-11, seniors 65 or older and military members with a valid ID; and free for children 4 and under.

To help promote local businesses, Myrtle Beach Speedway is looking for local talent including: dance teams; choirs; cheerleaders; bands; and unique acts to showcase their talents on the Myrtle Beach Speedway Amphitheatre stage.
