A man died when an SUV hit him on Friday night in Horry County, according to the SC Highway Patrol
The incident happened in front of the Galleria near Lake Arrowhead Road and was reported at 9:08 pm, SC Troopers said.
The crash was in the south-bound lanes in the 9600 block of North Kings Highway, which is between Myrtle Beach and North Myrtle Beach, according to data from the SC Highway Patrol website.
Horry County Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard identifies the victim as Preston Kemp Slaton, 37, of Asheville, NC. She says he died on the scene from multiple trauma.
