SUNSET BEACH, NC (WBTW) – A Sunset Beach, NC man, wanted on four counts of attempted murder in Horry County, is now behind bars, according to the Brunswick County Sheriff’s Office.
Public Information Officer Emily Flax says drug enforcement agents arrested Michael Tykee Leach, 27, of Sunset Beach, after executing a search warrant at a home on Ocean Highway West early Thursday morning. Officers found a small amount of cocaine and marijuana in the home.
Leach is charged with felony possession of cocaine, maintaining a dwelling, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. In addition, Leach was served with warrants out of Horry County for four counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.
Leach was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Brunswick County Detention Facility where he remains under a $20,000 bond.
