MYRTLE BEACH (WBTW) – Horry County Police are searching for the man they say was responsible for shooting up the outside of a bar and several vehicles early Saturday morning.

Officers say a security officer at Fat Boiz Bar and Grill on Fred Nash Boulevard called to report gunfire outside the building around 4:30 a.m.

Witnesses reported a man firing a handgun toward people and vehicles in front of the bar, and they say when he ran out of ammunition, he grabbed an assault rifle from a car and started shooting some more.  They told police he was last seen headed toward Conway, where he is believed to live.

Not long after, a vehicle matching the description of the one he was traveling in crashed in Conway, according to officers.  It was found abandoned, according to a police report.

The case remains under investigation by Horry County Police. Anyone with more information should contact officers at (843) 248-1520 or (843) 915-TIPS (8477).
