SOCASTEE, SC (WBTW)- A part of Highway 707 will close down for parts of the night as road crews start construction on the Highway 31 bridge. The work is anticipated to take two weeks to complete.
The project begins Tuesday from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. and continue the same hours through Thursday. The project will pick back up on Sunday, May 15, from 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. and continuing the same hours through, May 19.
During this time period, drivers will encounter periodic closures of SC 707 (both lanes) where the bridge is being built. These closures will occur in 20 minute increments. Drivers are encouraged to use US Highway 17 Bypass as an alternative route.
